REME HALO® and BLU QR® UV Stick Light Installation

HVAC Services In Austin

The REME HALO® represents the latest advancement in residential air purification technology. Unlike passive filters that only capture particles passing through your HVAC system, the REME HALO actively purifies every cubic inch of your home. Using patented Reflective Electro Magnetic Energy (REME®) technology, it produces ionized hydrogen peroxide molecules that travel through your ductwork and into every room, neutralizing contaminants in the air and on surfaces throughout your entire living space.

Grande Air Solutions provides professional REME HALO installation for homeowners throughout Pflugerville, Austin, Round Rock, Hutto, Cedar Park, Georgetown, and surrounding communities in Travis and Williamson counties. Our licensed technicians properly size, position, and install your REME HALO to work seamlessly with your existing HVAC system, providing comprehensive air purification from day one.

Founded by Isael Garcia in 2011, Grande Air Solutions has spent over 14 years helping Central Texas families breathe cleaner air. We've witnessed the dramatic difference the REME HALO makes, especially for allergy sufferers during cedar season, families with pets, and anyone concerned about airborne illness transmission. This technology works around the clock to keep your indoor air clean and your family protected.

BENEFITS OF THE REME HALO

Why Central Texas Homeowners Choose REME HALO

Cedar Fever Relief Central Texas cedar season (December-February) causes misery for millions. While you can't avoid cedar pollen outside, the REME HALO dramatically reduces indoor allergens, creating a refuge during peak season.

Whole-Home Coverage Unlike portable air purifiers that only clean one room, the REME HALO treats your entire home through your HVAC system. Every room benefits from cleaner air and sanitized surfaces.

Active vs. Passive Technology The REME HALO doesn't wait for contaminants to find it. It actively sends purifying molecules throughout your home to seek and destroy pollutants in the air and on surfaces.

Surface Sanitization The REME HALO is unique in its ability to clean surfaces as well as air. The ionized hydrogen peroxide settles on countertops, doorknobs, and other surfaces, neutralizing pathogens where people actually touch them.

Low Maintenance Once installed, the REME HALO requires minimal attention. Replace the cell every 2-3 years, and the system continues working automatically.

No Ozone Concerns The REME HALO produces no harmful ozone. It uses safe, naturally occurring oxidizers that break down quickly after neutralizing contaminants.

HVAC System Protection By reducing airborne contaminants and preventing mold growth, the REME HALO helps keep your HVAC system cleaner, potentially reducing maintenance needs.

BLU QR® UV Stick Light

The BLU QR® UV Stick Light is a powerful UV-C light installed over your indoor coil to help kill mold, bacteria, and other microbes so your system runs cleaner, more efficiently, and with fresher air in your home.

What Is the BLU QR® UV Stick Light?

  • The BLU QR® is a germicidal UV-C stick light designed to mount inside your air handler over the evaporator coil.

  • It targets the coil surface where moisture and contaminants collect, helping prevent mold and biofilm buildup that can reduce system performance.

Why It Matters for Your Home

  • Indoor air can often be more polluted than outdoor air, and many contaminants are too small for traditional filters.

  • When your coil is contaminated, your system can lose efficiency and push those contaminants back into your living space, increasing operating costs and impacting comfort.

Key Features Grande Air Solutions Installs

  • UV-C germicidal technology has been used for decades for its antimicrobial effects, making it a proven solution for coil sanitation.

  • The BLU QR® uses durable, UV-resistant components and waterproof electrical connections designed to withstand humid, dusty HVAC environments.

Benefits of Adding BLU QR® to Your System

  • Helps keep your evaporator coil clean, which can improve airflow, system efficiency, and overall performance while reducing maintenance needs.

  • Supports fresher, cleaner air in your home by limiting microbial growth on the coil that would otherwise be recirculated into your living space.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How often do UV bulbs need replacement? UV bulbs should be replaced every 12-24 months depending on the manufacturer's recommendations. While bulbs may still produce visible light after this period, their germicidal effectiveness decreases significantly. Annual replacement ensures optimal performance.

Will UV lights eliminate mold in my home? UV lights prevent mold growth inside your HVAC system and kill airborne mold spores, but they won't eliminate existing mold in other areas of your home. If you have visible mold elsewhere, that requires separate remediation. UV lights prevent new mold problems in your HVAC system.

Do UV air sanitizers produce ozone? The UV air sanitizers we install are designed to produce no ozone. Some UV wavelengths can create ozone, but quality residential products specifically use wavelengths that don't. We only recommend ozone-free products.

Can I see the UV light when it's working? No, and you shouldn't try. UV-C light is contained inside your HVAC system and should never be visible during normal operation. If you can see UV light, contact us immediately as this indicates an installation issue.

How do UV sanitizers compare to REME HALO? UV sanitizers kill pathogens passing through your HVAC system but don't affect contaminants elsewhere in your home. The REME HALO actively purifies air and surfaces throughout your entire home. Many families choose both for comprehensive protection—they work together effectively.

Do I still need to change my air filter with UV lights? Yes. UV sanitizers and air filters serve different purposes. Filters capture particles like dust and pollen, while UV lights kill biological contaminants. Both are important for comprehensive air quality, and maintaining regular filter changes is essential.
